The international workshop on classical Chen style Taijiquan held in Primorsko under Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang is over. Very big number of participants came from Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Lithuania and Croatia.

Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang visited Bulgaria by invitation of World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association - Bulgaria. This was his second visit to Bulgaria as well as the second of a starting series of regular workshops under him. This was an exceptional event for all practitioners of Taijiquan in Bulgaria. Simultaneously, this was the fifth in a series of regular workshops on classical Chen style Taijiquan with Masters from the Chen family. Initiator and executor of the project is World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association - Bulgaria.

Today was the 13th anniversary from the foundation of Taijiquan Center Ba Lin - the kernel of World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association - Bulgaria. A birthday party was organized to celebrate it.




12 December 2009

On 5 July 2009 Taijiquan Center Ba Lin grew into World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association - Bulgaria - the Bulgarian branch of the World Chen Xiaowang Taijiquan Association. The Association has branches in over 30 countries and is the largest organization of clubs and people, who practice Taijiquan in the world. A party was organized for the occasion a few months later.

Svetoslav Somov was accepted as a disciple of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang and
as a member of the Chen family in the 20th generation



Svetoslav Somov, Head of Taijiquan Center Ba Lin returned to Bulgaria from an intensive personal training with Master Chen Jun. Svetoslav Somov was a guest in the home of Master Chen Jun in China following a personal invitation.

After the personal training Svetoslav Somov took part in a big international workshop on Taijiquan under Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. The seminar was held in the Taijiquan school in Chenjiagou (the birthplace of the Chen family). During the workshop the Grandmaster was assisted by his sons, Master Chen Jun and Master Chen Yingjun.

On 29.03.2009 on an official ceremony held in the temple of General Chen Wanting (founder of Taijiquan, 9th generation Chen family member) in Chenjiagou, in the presence of over 120 people from different countries from all over the world (China, Russia, USA, Australia, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Bosnia) including the mayor of Chenjiagou and Chinese government officials, Svetoslav Somov was accepted as a disciple of Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang and as a member of the Chen family in the 20th generation. That was an honor that Svetoslav had not even allowed himself to dream of.

Master Jan Silberstorff visited Bulgaria by invitation of Taijiquan Center Ba Lin. This was the fourth in a series of regular workshops on classical Chen style Taijiquan with Masters from the Chen family. Initiator and executor of the project is Taijiquan Center Ba Lin.

Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang visited Bulgaria by invitation of Taijiquan Center Ba Lin. This was his first visit to Bulgaria as well as the first of a starting series of regular workshops under him.
